25021-Antique Shulaver kazak Runner-330x110cm

$0.00
sold out

Origin: Caucasus

Date: Third quarter of the 19th century

Dimensions: 330 × 110 cm

Description:

This is an exceptionally unusual Kazak: both its elongated runner format and its ivory ground are rarely encountered, features more often associated with much older pieces. The field is filled with a repeating “vase” motif—a design typically seen in Kurdish weavings—giving the rug a distinctive cross-regional character. Equally striking is the main border, a pattern more commonly found on Daghestan or Shirvan prayer rugs rather than on Kazak work.

A highly uncommon combination of format, palette, and design, making this piece a true collector’s rarity.
